Lisa Regan

Lisa Regan is a self-taught artist and entrepreneur based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, renowned for her whimsical metal sculptures and vibrant abstract paintings. She founded Garden Deva Sculpture Company in 1996, creating joyful metal artworks that enliven gardens, public spaces, and private collections nationwide.

In 2017, after over two decades as a nationally recognized artist, Lisa sold Garden Deva to Kari Hackbarth, allowing the shop to stay open to the public while giving Lisa the freedom to pursue her art.

Currently, Lisa operates Edison Studios in Tulsa, where she continues her artistic journey. At Edison Studios, she creates her art, hosts workshops, and provides studio space for other artists, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.

Lisa's paintings are distinguished by their colorful and whimsical nature, achieved through layering techniques that incorporate stencils, glazes, pastels, crayons, and markers. She adds texture by using tools to scrape away or remove areas of paint, revealing underlying layers and adding depth to her work.

Her dedication to creating positive artwork stems from her belief that a joyful spirit leads to a healthier life, a philosophy evident in both her metal sculptures and paintings.

Lisa's work has been featured in various publications and media outlets, including Better Homes and Gardens, HGTV, and Treehouse Masters. Additionally, a photo of her menorah was featured on a U.S. Postage holiday stamp.

Through Edison Studios, Lisa continues to inspire and nurture the artistic community in Tulsa, offering workshops and studio space that encourage creativity and collaboration among artists.
