“Dancing It Out” is a vibrant and emotionally charged original painting by artist Katy Casillas-Gray, celebrating the release, healing, and power found in movement. This large-scale 48 x 48 inch acrylic on canvas piece features a dynamic female figure in a ballerina pose, her form alive with color, energy, and motion.

The figure’s hair explodes outward in flowing, liquid acrylic lines, a kaleidoscope of movement rendered in bold, multicolored streams that express the freedom and release of dancing through emotion. Set against a rich background of fuchsias, oranges, and reds, the painting radiates energy, catharsis, and light.

This piece is part of Katy’s ongoing exploration of feminine strength, release, and resilience through expressive form and bold color.  She finds expressive dance and movement as magical and stress-relieving for herself.  It is a newfound freedom that she only discovered in the past couple of years.

Move it on out of that beautiful heart of yours.
Move until your heart is filled up with bright colors again.
