"Pieces of Her" is a mixed media original that blends self-discovery, identity, and  femininity. This 48" x 48" canvas features three painted female silhouettes, and fragmented faces, each formed from collaged charcoal portraits of classic Hollywood legends: Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and Grace Kelly. The portraits, which were originally part of an early collection titled Hollywood Stars, had been set aside for nearly twenty years before being rediscovered and transformed into this new piece.

Created with acrylic, spray paint, and charcoal on paper, the fragmented faces are carefully collaged within each figure, exploring the complexity and multifaceted nature of womanhood. This piece debuted as part of the artist’s solo exhibition Pieces of Her, which accompanied her book Exposed: The Naked Truth on Beauty, a powerful collection of painted nudes, personal narratives, and poetry.

"Pieces of Her" is layered both in material and meaning.  It is a visual reflection of beauty, strength, and self-discovery over time.
